Why my speaker played nothing
Casting a video's sound to a smart speaker showed "playing" and made no noise. Reproducing it in real Chrome, a range request answered wrongly, a flaky test that was a real race, and a sandbox bug the tests could not see.

The playlist sync that ran for six days
A media server API quirk made my sync delete and recreate playlists on every pass. Nothing alerted me for six days. How I found it, fixed it in two passes, and added a 03:00 health check.
